Digital Banking - Support Officer and Authorizer, Diamond Trust Bank
I am a young Tanzanian banker with more than 7 years of Diverse Banking Experience. In October of 2014, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Iringa. Not long after that, I join Diamond Trust Bank’s Graduate Management trainee program, a program designed to mentor the future Leaders of the bank. After completing 3 years of on-job training I was assigned to the Head of Cash position in the Masaki Branch, a position that I served for the next 9 months. My role involved supervising Bank Tellers, As the Bank was expanding I was reassigned to the New Mlimani Branch as Head of Front Office Operations, where I have served for 2 years in the capacity of Branch Supervisor, overseeing all day-to-day branch operations and managing customers’ relationships. In 2019, I was reallocated to CMS Department, a Department responsible for handling the Bank’s Digital Banking Channels which are Mobile Banking and Internet Banking. My Current Task involves managing end-to-end Service Delivery via the Channels this comprises onboarding new clients in the channel, training customers and branch staff on the products, reconciling and reporting relevant Control accounts and float accounts, Customer Support and Queries resolution. Recently, I have been engaged in a number of projects including digital lending and saving product development, Digital Channel Product enhancements and the development of process flow and customer journey at Bank level to accommodate the new instant payment method (TIPS) implemented by the Central Bank of Tanzania.
